IPhone 4 microphone problems

So i got an iPhone and dropped it once and cracked the back on the iphone.
When i got it fixed the microphone doesn't work i fixed it and now it doesn't work again. It does work for a while for say 5 min and the other party on the phone says they hear "crackeling" noises. I can hear them perfectly fine. ANY ADVICE?
