IPhone 4 not recognized by Win8?
My iPhone 4 no longer recognized by Windows 8, 64-bit desktop. I have updated iTunes to the latest version, my USB charges the phone when its plugged in, Apple Mobile Device Support is installed, I have restarted it in Services. In device Manager under USB Driver there's no Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, its under Other Devices as Unknown Device (I have tried the apple support, no luck (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. Also I have deleted in Registry UpperFillters (and I have backup if I need to restore it). Can you please help me?
And one other thing, the iPhone is jailbroken and its running iOS 7.1.2
Added (1). And when I go to Devices and Printers its under Unspecified as Unknown Device. I went to the properties, hardware and under Device status it shows this: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Not surprised, my iPod supposedly was damaged and a practically brand-new Windows 8.1 laptop was asking me to allow Windows to "repair" it. Never allowed it and now that I'm back on my iMac, it's "perfect". Windows and Apple don't mix really. Apple support in the net is very helpful, if not even they can help, I'm afraid it's not going to work. Try the Windows support site. You'll see the long totally irrelevant replies from a bunch Indian "MS support engineers" lol. A nightmare.
- USB not recognized when iPhone is plugged in? I just updated iTunes to 11.1.4 and now it doesn't recognize my iPhone4s when plugged in - I get USB not recognized. I had the problem also with iPad but it was recognized just not in iTunes. I re-installed the driver and now the iPad is fine. Since my computer doesn't even see recognize the iPhone I can't re-install the driver. I'm sure its possible but don't know how. Have searched all over and nothing is working - any suggestions?
- USB not recognized Message when I plug iPhone in? I have the IPhone 5 and when I plug it into the laptop it beeps then there's a sign that pops up saying it is not recognized. When I plug my wireless mouse into the USB port it works perfectly fine. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I have tried to re install iTunes and it does nothing. So what should I do to try to fix it?

My iTunes stopped recognizing both my iPod touch and my iPhone, and I have done everything that I have seen online to do (uninstall and reinstall iTunes, uninstall and reinstall device drivers, change usb ports, change iPod cables, etc.) and my iTunes STILL won't recognize my iPhone. Any suggestions?
