IPhone 4 speaker Sounds blown or distorted after screen replacement?

I have an iPhone 4 16 gb gsm AT&T phone that had a broken screen. I purchased a replacement offline. After replacing the broken screen and reassembling the phone the loud speaker on the bottom of the phone sounds distorted and fuzzy almost as if there's some sort of electrical or magnetic interference. The speaker was working fine before replacing the screen. I also purchased a replacement speaker thinking that would fix the problem but it did not.

Any idea as to what could be causing this?

Your speaker was not reinstalled correctly. It is no longer in the correct position, thus it's "buzzing" and not sounding right.

  • Speakers sound blown out when I play my music on the Aux cord? So starting today I put my Aux cord into my iPhone 6 to connect to my Pontiac Torrent to play music, and the audio was absolute garbage! It sounded like my speakers were blown out, which scared me. But I went to my radio to see if it did the same and it was fine! I thought it was just the aux cord breaking, but I bought a new one after work and it didn't help at all. What is wrong with my auxiliary port?
  • My 'Touch Speaker Boombox' is making weird clicking sounds So today I just bought my Touch Speaker Boombox, and when I place my iPhone 4 on, the music quality is fine but a clicking sound can be heard. It's also like the clicking sound is part of the music, as when the volume is turned up the clicking gets louder, but it isn't. Any other phone/tablet is ok, it's just my iPhone 4. Anyone else have this problem or can help?
  • My iPhone 4s speaker sounds scratchy? At lunch I was eating a peanut butter sandwich while on my phone. I noticed that I had gotten a bit of peanut butter in my iPhone speaker so I took a q-tip and a baby wipe and wiped it up, I didn't push hard because I didn't want to ruin the speaker. A couple of minutes later I played some of my music and I found that my speaker sounded distorted and the music was scratchy, it was also very low when it was on its highest setting.
  • My iPhone 4s Speaker Sounds Fuzzy? I've only had the phone since late March, and it was bought directly from the store, brand new. At first the speakers were fine, but in the past few weeks whether it's talking on the phone or playing music, the sound has static/a fuzziness to it. I've been incredibly careful with the phone, haven't dropped it and made sure to buy a heavy duty case. What's wrong?
