Iphone 4 stuck in recovery mode error 2001?

I have had a jailbroken iphone 4 that just seemed like it died. It keeps showing the connect to itunes when i plug it into the charger. ( My iphone 4 will not hold a charge unless its plugged in, once i take it off the charger it won't turn back on) i bought a new battery for it but it still won't hold a charge unless its plugged in and won't get out of recovery mode. It keeps giving me the error 2001. I understand that is for the USB cord which i tried a different one but it won't verify with apple when i try to restore my iphone 4. Does anyone know of a solution for this? I tried many steps already on the internet and i understand that Apple won't look at it since i tampered with it already. I'm guessing maybe the jailbreak had something to do with it?

Yeah the jailbreak is blocking. It from coming back on you can try to hold down the home and the lock button pressing and letting go a lot of times then plug it in the computer it should come back on! Mine did that and that fixed it!
