Iphone 4 volume control problems?
A few days ago the + volume button stopped working. If I press it, nothing happens. The minus button works fine though.
Also, if my phone is on silent, I still hear a sound from messaging programs.So, I have to go into settings and turn the sound off manually.
I read that I might have to open up the phone or just clean the earphone socket. Hopefully I just have to clean it. I'm not in any position to open up the phone.
Any suggestions?
Cleaning the innards of the phone might fix the problem. Based on what you have related here, I would say that there's a fair probability that the volume buttons may be worn out (perhaps from being pressed down for too long while in a bag, pocket, purse, etc.). If you are relatively handy with tools, it is not a hard fix. If you do not feel comfortable doing such work yourself, many cell phone repair shops will do the repairs for you for a relatively cheap amount. (At least compared to replacing the phone).
- Volume control and microphone not working on iphone? I have an iphone 4 & my volume control and microphone is useless on my iphone, it works fine on my ipad but only the music works on my iphone. Is it something wrong with my headphones or is it just that after the major updates iphone doesn't recognize it anymore?
- IPhone volume control problems? I have an iPhone 4, and I recently realized that when I press my volume up and down buttons on the side, my volume WILL change, but I don't see the volume image on the screen. I didn't know if I accidentally turned off something in my settings or maybe my phone broke? It's just very frustrating that I can't see the volume image.
- IPhone voice control problems? This happens EVERY TIME I play music on my iPhone; it goes to voice control without me pressing anything! It's driving me crazy! I've literally hit play and just set it on a table, and it goes to voice control like 5 times. Why does it do this? And how, if possible, can I fix it? This is the most frustrating thing ever, so if you have any ideas it would really help me out.
- IPhone 4s volume buttons not working, how can I turn down my call volume without these buttons? My side volume buttons aren't working on my iPhone 4s and my call volume is super loud (other people can hear the person I'm on the phone with) is there any other way to turn down the call volume?
