IPhone 4S high pitched whine BMW?
When I plug my iPhone 4S into my BMW via a 3.5 mm jack, there's a constant high pitch whine while music is playing. It is no affected by changing the volume on the phone (unless turned right down).It is nothing to do with the cable - I have tried three different ones, including a high quality home cima shielded cable. Why is this and what can I do to stop it? Get apple to replace the phone, or is it the car? Etc. Cheers.
My car doesn't do this, i also have an iphone 4s, and am using an inexpensive audio cable made by scosche, plugged into my aftermarket head unit. Try a friend's iphone to make sure its not just your phone making the noise
Try the phone without the charger plugged in. You may need to get a ground loop isolator.
- Where will the iphone adaptor fit in my BMW? I have a BMW 116D Sport. Its a 2009 (59) plate. The steering wheel has a load of buttons for a bluetooth mobile phone connection. I was planning on buying an iphone 4/4S SnapIn adaptor so I can use my phone. The only thing is I've seen the adaptors and I can't see where it would fit in my car. In many other BMWs there's a space near the handbrake where an adaptor can fit nicely. Mine doesn't have this. Does anyone know where it would go?
- Should I be worried that my charger makes high pitched noises? So I have an IPhone 5c and I recently bought an off brand charger and I made a discovery. When the battery gets near charged and is not being used, the charger emits a high pitched hiss until I either unplug the device, or start to use it. Is this something I should be worried about, meaning could it catch fire or something?
- Radio broken in my BMW+want to play iphone songs? I can't see the radio stations in my bmw because the lcd display lights are broken. I want to fix this. I also want to be able to play my iphone songs. There's currently no way to input my iphone in the car. Is there something I can buy that would allow me to do this? I don't know much about tech, is a car stereo what I need?
