IPhone 4s invalid sim message?
So for about 2 months now I would get a "Sim failure" message followed by "invalid sim" where my carrier should be, every 4 hours to 1 day. Usually a soft reboot would fix it. But today it gave me "no SIM card installed" and when I rebooted it, the it would give me the same message after about 30 seconds to a minute without fail. I got a new SIM card now, and here's the thing, I stopped getting the "no sim" message but the "invalid sim" message came back, and the phone works for about 1-2 minutes at most and then it pooches out again. So obviously my SIM card reader must work to some extent.
What can I do short of paying to get it fixed? I have no warranty. Could this be a software issue? The problem prevailed from ios 6.1.1 all the way to iOS 7.0 beta 6.
It could be a hardware issue. Also FYI, it's not safe to run the betas of iOS 7 unless you register your device's UDID with a developer account through a site like http://www.udid.in/.It's $5, and then you don't need to worry about Apple deactivating your device for running unreleased software.
