Iphone 4s prints look bad why?

Ok so i have the iphone 4s and when i take a picture it looks great in the phone but when i go to print they look bad almost foggy and grainy why is that and how do i fix the resolution is not the problem i have checked any ideas please help?

The images are most likely too noisy due to being shot in low light. It is tough to tell on the phone since it has such a small screen and is backlit.

You need to take photos in bright light, then they will look decent.

The truth is phone cameras (if you can call them that) are well known world wide as pure junk. If you want real pictures, get a real camera.

Lets see a tiny sensor and some tiny piece of glass put in a flat telephone. Yup you just hit the limitations that reality offers you.

Phone cameras are not there for quality images, they are there to take pictures of moments. Thats it. Your dog mounting your neighbours dog.perfect for an iphone. A night with friends in the town.perfect. Your food.eh sure instagram it.

But don't expect actual decent image quality. Its not made for that!

Suggest as lowlevel said shoot in good enough light. Even a limited bit of hardware as the camera in the iphone will work better with good light on offer.

And for images you actually going to print out the suggestion yes is another camera.

Iphone images are fine for sharing with friends "Hey see I was drunk like a skunk there trying to talk to that cute girl who everybody could see was a male in a dress" moments.
Look you can use it for romantic moments, sun going down, making images of the street. Just don't expect the same image quality as an actual camera with an actual bigger piece of glass on it.

The best camera is the camera you have with you they say, its true. But that doesn't means that one should shoot a wedding with an iphone.

  • Why does the video quality look bad when uploaded to the computer? [iPhone 4]? When I upload my video to youtube in HD directly from the iphone, I go on the computer to watch it on youtube and the quality is perfectly normal. But when I copy the file from my iphone and onto my computer the video looks grainy? I wan't to put it into after effects and do some editing but how can I go about KEEPING the quality of the video? I don't get why it gets all grainy when I put it onto my computer vs. It being perfect when I upload it directly from my ipod to youtube?
  • Why does my skin look bad on my iphone camera? I don't have acne but I have a few blemishes (not many at all) yet my skin looks dull and blotchy on my camera! Even my friends say my skin doesn't look like that in real life.
  • Why do pictures taken of tv screens look so bad? Every once in a while I'll be playing a game on Xbox and it bugs out leaving a hilarious image on my screen, but every time I try to take a picture of my tv screen the quality is terrible. My friends can do the same thing with the same phone (iPhone) and I have a normal flat screen HDTV, but they're pictures look great, sometimes even amazing with a little patience of eliminating any jiggle when taking the picture. Why is this? Maybe my tv (LCD) needs to be updated to an led?
  • Why do I look so bad in my iPhone 4 Camera? Why do I look so bad in my iPhone 4 camera, but not in the mirror? It's like 2 completely different people.
