IPhone 4s struggles to detect home Wi-Fi?

I recently had my Wi-Fi replaced due to issues, and it was working fine connected to my phone. The Wi-Fi is still working, as I'm connected to the internet on both my laptop and ipad. However, it just will not connect on my phone. Any advice?

1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

After that is done, try reconnecting to Wi-Fi.

If it still don't work, then try these steps:

2. Connect iPhone to iTunes. Backup everything first. Click the Restore button

After this is all done and all restored and back to the home screen, reconnect to Wi-Fi again.

If it still didn't work, your phone's Wi-Fi chip is faulty.

1. Ring up your carrier (if on contract), and tell them about the issue. Most likely they will send a replacement to you

2. Ring Apple up if you are still under warranty

I do find iPhones to be a bit touchy when it comes to Wi-Fi. I used some for testing websites and they connect perfectly two some wireless access points and just will not work properly on others. I had an old Nokia N95 that was very picky but other than that I've never had any other phones that have so many Wi-Fi issues.

I tried everything listed in Apple website. The cable works because the iPhone gets detected on my Mac and my other laptop.
  • Redsn0w can't detect iPhone? Trying to jailbreak my iPhone 4 (ios 6.0.1) and redsn0w just can't detect my phone what so ever. I've tried it in DFU mode (iTunes detected that it was in recovery mode but still nothing from redsn0w) and not in DFU mode and it still won't pick anything up.   • My iPhone won't detect home Wi-Fi? My iphone only detects my home Wi-Fi when its right next to the router! If i move 5m away or into another room, BAM. Goes back to 3G. This is really annoying. I have tried to forget the network and reset all network settings. They don't solve the problem. Any suggestions or information would help greatly.
