IPHONE 4S taking photos

Taking a normal photo (Home button at bottom) appears normal on the phone. If you put it in the computer its sideways. If you rotate it to make it right side up. The picture gets bigger in width which makes it look nasty/fatter. I took a picture of a normal cat, and then when I rotated it normally it made it look so fat, LOL how can the pictures be taken normally?!

Turn the camera when you take it
my daughter has the same problem

It shouldn't stretch the photo when you rotate it on the PC. It just shrinks the thumbnail on your PC. But as mentioned: rotate your iPhone.

I take pictures with a DSLR and I have to rotate them all the time with no problem, same with my iPhone.

  • Why is my iPhone 4 still taking HDR photos when I turned HDR option OFF? I selected "turn HDR OFF" after selecting "options" on my camera screen. I also turn off the option in my settings that says " save normal photo in addition of HDR photo" BUT my iPhone is still taking HDR pics… So frustrating! Can someone help please?
  • Why are my 300 photos taking up 5 gb of storage on my iphone? I have 300 photos and 60 short videos less than a minute and it is requiring 5 gb of storage on icloud. I have a 16gb iphone 5 with 3 gb left of storage. I have 28 apps and 80 songs. I also erase my text messages and still on have a little bit of storage left.
  • Taking photos on iPhone to appear on another iPhone's photo stream? I'm going on holiday and don't want to take my iPhone 5c as it might get damaged/lost etc. So I want to take my old iPhone 4 just to take pictures on it. I was just wondering if there was anyway so when I take a photo is automatically appears on my iPhone 5c's photo stream back home? (This is just incase I lost my old photo - which wouldn't matter too much since it is extremely slow)
  • Photos on iPhone taking up a lot of space? I recently purchased an iPhone 5 and have taken a total of 22 photos. The problem is this takes up 2.1GB of memory. Is that normal? Is there a way in which the memory usage for photos can be decreased?
