IPhone 4S too hot & battery depletion?
I have had my iPhone 4S for just under a year and are having serious issues with it which weren't so bad earlier in the year. I realised since I've had the phone that the battery wasn't long-lasting but it has gotten much worse.
Over the past 3 days I have gotten the Temperature lock-out mode come into action and prevent me from using my phone for some time (this happens on idle or under minimal stress.)
Also, my battery lasts under 4 hours from a 100% charge.
What's wrong with my phone and what are my options?
Added (1). As I'm currently not at school due to the Christmas break, no music has been played on my phone for some time as I'm usually with my friends, at my computer or in my car. I never use my mobile for navigation purposes. I've actually used my phone lesser than usual, so I'm stuck!
If your battery drain is caused simply by use -- you're running background music or navigation like a fiend, for example, your only choice is to get a few more charging cables or battery extenders. If, however, you're doing roughly the same things you've always done and getting substantially less battery life for your troubles, there's a chance a few troubleshooting steps might just help get your power problems back under control.
- Why iphone is hot under camera after battery replacement? I changed my iphone 4 battery last week. The battery is not original, My Iphone used to become hot in the area under camera a little while charging or using it alot, Now it is like before but the heat is more, Do you know which part is always heating the iphone specially when I charge it? (I know that battery itself never heats up, the only place is under camera)
- My Iphone 3gs battery is getting hot and draining too fast.any ideas? We have two iphones. Both are 3gs. My phone is going through the battery much faster than my husband's phone. It also gets hot (especially when it was in the otter box, but i've since taken it out). Anyone experience this or know how to fix it?
- Iphone got too hot and won't turn on? I just bought this phone off ebay the original owner of the phone said that it got really hot and wouldnt turn back on i just realized it when the phone shipped to my house, is there anything i can do to fix this?
- Iphone gets very hot when charging and battery dies fast? I took it to Apple and the associate told me that the battery is fine and said I needed to restore my phone back to factory settings. I did restore it and of course, it did not work. That wasn't very helpful. It's still getting hot when I charge it and as soon as I take it off the charger it loses battery very fast. Within an hour I'm back at 2% battery life. Does anyone know what else the problem could be?
