IPhone 4S unable to connect to channel 13 unsecured Wi-Fi?
Hi when I try to connect my iPhone 4S to a channel 13 Wi-Fi network (Unsecured) i get the error message "Unable to connect to *wi-fi name*" I'm using iOS 6.0.1? Anyone else having issues?
Do you own the Wi-Fi network? If you do, log into the wireless access point and see what authentication settings on it
Can you connect to any other Wi-Fi networks? If you can then its the Wi-Fi networks settings that are preventing you.
Although the Wi-Fi network may appear unprotected it may have MAC address authentication on, or a number of other authentication options enabled.

First question: Is channel 13 going to be faster for me because I'm the only one on my street with access to 12, 13, and 14 even though it overlaps with the lower numbers? Second question: Is there a jailbreak app that allows me to connect to channel 14? EDIT: My iphone can't connect to 14, it can only connect to the additional 12 and 13.
