IPhone 4S when I remove sim it says invalid sim

I took out my SIM card and it says invalid sim when it out of the phone. It should say no sim so why is it doing this

There's a problem with your phone then.

Back it up, and then try restoring it. If the problem still occurs, take it to Apple, phone Apple, or return it to the store you got the phone from if it wasn't Apple.

  • Sprint iphone 5 invalid sim card? I recently got an sprint iphone 5 and i've tried to activate it (I already have a number for it) but it says invalid sim card. Do I need to replace the sim or can i just take it to sprint and have them fix it?
