IPhone 4s Wi-Fi Connectivity Problems- Won't SHOW any network/won't connect to any network?
I have an iPhone 4s that is secondhand and was bought in a store. The software is iOS 9.3.1.
Within weeks when I had first had bought it (this January), it stopped connecting to Wi-Fi. It showed the Wi-Fi networks but refused to connect to any Wi-Fi networks(no matter where I went). This happened randomly while I was in use of the Wi-Fi(I hadn't dropped it, damaged it, or anything else). Despite all my efforts (Resetting of network settings, airplane mode for an absurdly long amount of time (2 days), resetting the phone, and more) it refused to connect to any networks shown. I gave it a week before taking it back to the store. I don't know what the person did (he would not say) but he got it connected and working again.
I thought all was well but 3 weeks later it happened again randomly. EXCEPT this time it just didn't show ANY networks. Like it point blank refused to show ANYTHING. Again after doing all that I can and after a week, I took it back to the store. Once again the he didn't tell me HOW he fixed it and got it to work again. It's been a month or so and just today, while I was in the middle of watching a video on the phone it randomly decided to disconnect.
Now once again, it refuses to show any networks. I'm sick of having to go back and forth from this store(this time I will literally force him to tell me what's wrong with the phone) but it seems a lot of other iPhone 4s users are having the same problem?
Is it because the software isn't compatible with such an old version of the iPhone?
The only method I have not done is freezing the phone.
I also heard that I can unscrew the back of the phone and that tightening the screw on the top will work?
Does any one else have any other methods? I want to know why that guy in the store can make it work but I can't.
I'm skeptical about the freezing method because I feel like once I start using it, I will have to keep doing it and that it will mess with the battery and whatnot.
Okay.
- Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues? My wireless works fine with my iPad and iPhones. But then I try to connect it to my Windows 7 desktop, and it says that it's experiencing connectivity issues? I have the Ethernet cable hooked up to the main router, then my wireless, then into the computer. I've tried restarting them both at the same time, but it's still having the same issue?
- My laptop says 'limited connectivity' to my Internet access? My mother just recently bought five new iPhones, one for each of us in our family. We have Comcast Xfinity as our Internet data plan, and I'm wondering if the arrival of our new iPhones took up the limitation of Internet access in our house. Before we had iPhones, we just had three computers and an iPad in our house. So, is it the iPhones that took up most of our Internet connections, and if so, how do you expand the limitation of devices for our Internet connection?
- My iphone will not connect to my home Wi-Fi. It can connect to any other network with no problems All my other devices at home connect with no problem, but once i updated my phone it won't connect here. I've reset the router, my network settings, forgot this network, even wiped out my phone and it still won't work. I changed the dns several times. Sometimes that works for a little while, but then eventually stops. What the hell?
- Laptop Wi-Fi connectivity problem? My hp elite book will not stay connected to the Internet at my house. My dads laptop does, our iPad does, our iPhones do, but my laptop will not stay connected for over 15 minutes. What could the problem be? It goes ok until it gets to identifying, then I stops. It works everywhere else but my house. I've always had problems with my Wi-Fi, but I normally lose coverage and I comes back a little later, but once it goes on my laptop I have to reset the route.
