Iphone 4s Wi-Fi greyed out, will new ios7 fix this problem?
My Iphone 4s Wi-Fi is greyed out and it has been since i updated to ios 6.1.3, i've tried every remedy, does anyone think this new update will fix this problem? I won't get a new one from the genius bar because my friend had the same problem and she got a new iphone, updated it and the problem happened again. If It doesn't i'm just going to get a new phone because iphones are aggravating.
I don't believe it will, although i could be wrong; I'm no iOS expert. A friend of mine had this problem on his Ipod touch, so I took it apart and the Wi-Fi chip was actually broken. I could be wrong though. Hope this helped
Yes, you should install iOS 7. However, it's not safe to install the beta unless you register your device's UDID with a developer account through a site like http://www.udid.in/.It's $5, and then you can try out the new OS before everyone else.
I don't think so. I'm running IOS7 beta 6 and my 4s got Wi-Fi greyed out 2 days ago. Never had the issue before. I tried: Resetting, downgrading to 6.1.3, reinstalling IOS 7, the freezer stunt, etc. What I have learned from going through google is that this is a known issue for 4s and that there might not be a way around it.
I upgraded to 7.0 today and it did not fix. I have the same problem
I had this issue with the 4S two days ago. I installed ios7 and it began working for one day. Now it is greyed out again. My phone, luckily, is still under warranty. I believe we can rule out a software issue.

- IPhone 4S Wi-Fi greyed out So about a week ago I dropped my iPhone in water and it wouldn't work then I put it in rice over night and it was fine. The only thing is where you turn the Wi-Fi on its greyed out. I can't connect it to iTunes to update it as I don't have a computer what are some other ways I can fix this problem with my Wi-Fi as I don't really wanna pay $200 for an ensurance claim to get a new one.
- IPhone 4s Wi-Fi greyed out bluetooth not working after screen repair Just replaced the LCD/digitizer on my iPhone 4s. Almost everything works, but the option for Wi-Fi in the settings menu is now greyed out, and when I click on bluetooth, there's just a spinning circle like its searching (but its not). I must have missed a step or plugged in the wrong cable or something… What could it be? This iPhone is unlocked for T-Mobile w/o a warranty so I can't simply talk to Apple If you need any pictures or more info please let me know!
