Iphone 4s without data plan?
I have a hobby for collecting old phones. Recently, I have acquired both an iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s that work perfectly. A buddy of mine said if I unlock the phone, there are ways of using it on my current call and text plan (AT&T US) that I have a flip phone on by simply unlocking it and switching the sim card. That way I could have internet where there's Wi-Fi, and calling and texting everywhere on the same device without paying data charges. Is he right? If not, is there any other way of getting that result such as using a pay as you go plan? How hard is it to unlock an iPhone 4 or 4s? My cousin did it to his so he could teach me right?

- Sim Card Into iPhone Without Data Plan? Ok, so my mom gave me her old iPhone to use or whatever, and I'm wondering what would happen if I put my sim card into it and used it? It's the 3G one, and I have an AT&T sim card but I don't use the internet, unless I have Wi-Fi so I would only use my calls and texting (I have unlimited), so would it still charge? I don't want anything to happen. Will I be fine if I just don't use the 3G? Or internet?
- Iphone 5 without data Plan or 4g/3g? Is it possible? Thats my only question not would it be a good idea, i'm just asking if its possible.
- How to use an iPhone without a data plan? My friend uses her iphone and she doesn't have the data plan and it doesn't charge to her bill. She said there's something you can turn off in the settings. Does anyone know anything about this? I would like to use mine. Serious answers only. Answer if you know FOR SURE. No assumptions
- How to use my iPhone 4s without a data plan? I currently have an iPhone 4s with a 3gb data plan with AT&T, but id rather not have a data plan at all. My cousin told me that I can get a new sim card and tell them that i have a different phone that doesn't require a data plan, then cut up the sim card to fit my iPhone 4s. Would that work? If not, what will work?
