IPhone 4s won't connect to internet or send/receive text messages
I've just had my Apple iPhone 4s come through the post today.

16GB. The internet works when I connect to my Wi-Fi, but when I want to use the mobile data/network it won't connect! So if I want to use it out in town, it's not connecting!
I've tried going to Settings-General-Mobile Data- and then people say go to 'Mobile Network' but there's no mobile network button! Omg, it's so annoying, someone please help?
&another problem. I can't send or receive text messages to anyone or from anyone.
what do I do?
I can think of several problems that it might be. The first is that maybe you need to plug the iPhone into your PC and register it. It will just be a case of a window popping up asking about registration and select to agree to this. The other problem could be is the store in which you bought the iPhone. They may not have set up your sim correctly. If this is the case pop down to the store and get them to check things out. The last problem it could be is the sim being inserted wrong either upside down or round the wrong way. Same thing pop to the store and get them to have a fiddle around with it. The only other thing i can think of is no signal or a damaged sim.

- Why won't my iPhone connect to the internet or send text messages? It was working completely fine until earlier today when I was using the internet and it suddenly said that it could not connect to the server. I thought the problem was my home Wi-Fi so I turned it off but it still didn't work. I also just realized that text messages are not going through. I have virgin mobile and in the top left corner of my phone it says I have service and Wi-Fi, but neither of those things are actually working.
- Why can't i send or receive text messages? I have an Iphone 3Gs, and just recently I have not been able to send or receive text messages from one contact. When I try sending a message it says "received" but when we talk through facebook or anything else they inform me that they never got the message, and its the same with their phone, I never get the messages. Its becoming a big hassle and I just want the problem fixed. Can anyone help me out?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- My new iphone5c won't send or receive text messages? I just got my iphone 5c shipped to me because I went to the Verizon store and ordered one. I've set up everything else… How do I set up being able to send and receive text messages?
