Iphone 5 does not recognise sim card?
I bought an unlocked iphone 5 in the uk from the carphone warehouse
I then got a orange sim card pay as you go and got that running. However inside my house the signal wasn't good enough so I decided to buy a Vodafone sim card
I have put the Vodafone simcard inside the phone and the phone is picking up a 3g signal but it doesn't appear able to activate it via the cellular way. I don't have Wi-Fi at home and when I try hooking up the phone to iTunes it says my simcard appears unsupported.
Can anyone help? The official apple website seems pretty useless at explaining the problem.
The first sim you put into the phone is the network it gets locked to, so now you need to unlock it again, carphone warehouse always do that.
- My iphone won't recognise the sim? I just updated my iphone to the latest ios and now it won't recognise the sim. Actually i had it unlocked… But it is not jailbroken. Is it a serious thing? Is my phone locked again?
- My iphone 5s will not turn on. Hard reset doesn't work and itunes doesn't recognise it My phone hasn't turned on in 5 days. Doesn't respond to the charger or being plugged into the computer. I've tried the hard reset a thousand times and nothing happens. ITunes won't recognize my phone so I can't do a factory reset. Can anyone tell me another way of resetting my phone?
- My iphone 4s won't recognise my sim? I have just got an iphone 4s off ebay - it specified that it was locked onto the o2 network - i cut my original sim from my blackberry using a micro sim cutter so it would fit the iphone, it's needs to be set up for the first time but it isn't letting me complete the activation as the sim is not being registered. I also ensured that the sim was removed of all pin codes. Why isn't my sim being recognised?
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
