IPhone 5 lock button problem?

Recently the lock button on my iPhone hasn't been working. It's weird because only the right side of the lock button is broken, when I press the left side it works fine.

Any solutions for this? I'm going to town today so if I need to get it replaced I can always pop into the Apple store

I'm not sure why anyone even uses a lock button, just set your screen to lock after 3 minutes or so and it locks automatically.

Same issue on my end, the right side stopped working while the left side worked occasionally. This was going on for about a week and now it's completely broke. I'm taking my phone in to Verizon later this week to address. In the meantime, if your lock breaks you can go to settings, general, accessibility, AssistiveTouch turn on. A dot will show up on the screen and you can use this to lock your phone. Click the dot, then device, then lock screen

There must be a problem due to the broken side of your button. The broken button may be causing some interruption to the other side. Take your phone to the nearest repairing center.

  • When I press the lock button OR the home button.iPhone? When I press the lock button OR the home button, my iPhone takes a screenshot. It does the sane thing when I press the lock and home at the same time, but I know that it's supposed to happen
