IPhone 5 on Giffgaff or Virgin Mobile?
There's a mobile phone carrier called giffgaff that has unlimited texts and data and 250 mins for £12 a month. The problem with giffgaff is that i'm worried there may be a problem, i've seen on forums that people have had problems with internet and having their credit being put on straight away. Also, you can only buy credit for giffgaff from places at have a PayPoint, (co-op) etc.
Virgin mobile gives you unlimited texts and dats for £15.It also lets you use that £15 credit. (For calls etc) its better than giffgaff as its well known and may have better internet coverage and more reliable overall, but does not have any minutes. What one should i choose? Giffgaff or virgin?
You can actually buy giffgaff credit from any shop that sells top ups. I know, as I have done this myself. Sometimes the shop assistant may have to search for the giffgaff top up, but it is on the system. Giffgaff also offer free calls and texts to other giffgaff users for 90 days after every top up, and every goodybag purchase. Also giffgaff are the only network that offers free calls to freefone numbers, such as 0800/0808/0500.It is true that there can sometimes be a delay in activating credit, and in activating goodybags. However, this is rare, and you can chat online to a giffgaff agent via their website, to get things sorted out.
Giffgaff uses the O2 network, so if you have good O2 coverage, you will have good giffgaff coverage. Equally, poor O2 coverage would give poor giffgaff coverage.
I can't comment on Virgin mobile's offerings, as I have not been on that network for many years.
Both the deals seem pretty decent I believe giffgaff use the o2 network and virgin I'm pretty sure use the Vodafone network so maybe you could see who as the better network coverage in your area and let that be you deciding factor.
I actually moved from Virgin to giffgaff and have had no problems. The O2 signal is good, no dropouts with the internet and cheap calls. You can read a review on the giffgaff network here:

- Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile? I'm moving to Houston this summer and I'm looking for a cheaper cell phone plan. I talk, text, email, fb etc. I had virgin mobile back in 2004 and I love it and had no problem. I have a android galaxy s3 right now which I love but the battery isn't so great. I'm thinking about possibly buying an iPhone. What I'm really looking for is reviews on virgin and boost mobile. If you have any other cheap cell phone plan carrier suggestions I'm up for that too.
- Virgin Mobile iphone 4s: Does it work on T-mobile? If I purchased the unlocked iphone 4s from Virigin mobile would I be able to use it on T-mobile? Does anybody know if the virigin mobile iphone has a spot for a sim card like the ones T-mobile uses?
- Virgin Mobile Canada to virgin mobile USA? So I bought an iPhone 4S that is locked to bell which they say is compatible with virgin mobile Canada carrier, but I'm moving back to United States soon if I unlock it I can use it in united states on the usa Virgin mobile carrier right?
- Is GiffGaff a good mobile provider? So is GiffGaff a good provider. I'm getting an Iphone 5 soon and I know they lock with the first sim you enter in them. Will I regret my decision? I currently use O2 and I like it except the stingy internet allowance that's why I'm moving to GiffGaff where the internet allowance is more fair…
