IPhone 5 or Droid Razr Maxx?

For my birthday I wanted to get a new phone, but I'm debating between an iPhone 5 or a Droid Razr Maxx. I have an iPhone 4s now and it's my first smartphone, but I wanted to get another iPhone because I'm more familar with them and don't know anything about Droids. Overall, which one do you think is a better phone and why?

It's basically a matter of freedom - you have more control with Android (that may be changing in the future), but also fewer worries. You can control your files on the phone and have greater freedom over how music, video, etc gets on and off. If you're not tech savvy, you may appreciate the way that iTunes takes care of all of that for you.

Like the iPhone (and a growing number of Androids), the Razr Maxx does not allow for removable batteries. That means that if you're in a situation like that faced last October by people on the east coast - right before Sandy hit - the only battery you can charge is the one in the phone.

Unlike the iPhone, the Razr still supports microSD cards, so you're not stuck 1) using the phone's internal memory, 2) using iTunes to put music on the phone and 3) being incapable of taking music off the phone.

If those things matter to you then maybe the Razr's a better idea. Otherwise. I'd suggest sticking with what you know (and what you know your apps will run on).
