Iphone 5 sprint unlock? To metro pcs?

In sprints website it says that they unlock phones for customers who have been on their carrier for 12 months and who have a good history. I know a couple people. So if I buy a iPhone 5/5s online with a clean ESN and I get it unlocked will it work on metro with 3g/ 4g speeds?

1. You must be a current Sprint customer with the device active on your line, as well as meet all their other requirements, for them to unlock it.
2. Even so, when Sprint does an unlock, the phone only works on international carriers, not US ones.

Can I have more info on this?

I would really read that again, carefully. They don't and won't until Feb 2015 when they have to by guidelines. They do it for international usage and travel purposes only-no domestic rival usage. Been that way for years.
You can buy software to unlock them now so yes, your idea would work if they are unlocked. Best luck.

I've seen the slot on the sprint iphone 4s. Can anyone give me info on both services? Much appreciated.
