IPhone 5 unresponsive touchscreen?

Okay so, I have an iphone 5 which I got last January. It was fine for a couple months but then the touch screen stopped working. Every few times I would use it, it would just stop working. I would have to lock my phone and then try again. It sucks. So anyways, I got my screen replaced. It was fine the first day or so, but now it's still doing the same thing! I'm so frustrated. Why does it do that. Like is there anything I can do? It was working fine before and then all of a sudden just messed up. It's so annoying having to lock my phone every few seconds…
Please help! Preferably professionals but anyone is welcome to offer some help. I really need this. Oh and don't tell me to go to the Apple Store because I do not have a warranty on it. Replacing is not really an option.

Did you replace the digitizer with the screen. If you did, It could just be a connection issue, where taking it apart and cleaning the connections might fix it. I would first back up my data and do a hard reset. You can find a youtube video showing that process

  • Why will my iphone touchscreen work only sometimes? I've tried resetting it that didn't help.shut it off and turned it back on that didn't help either. I can slide it to unlock it but then i can't select any icons or do anything.sometimes it will work fine for a few minutes then it won't do anything. Is there anything else i can do without taking it to a repair shop or getting a new phone?

  • My iphone touchscreen doesn't work so how do I transfer contacts? I iphone 4s screen cracked so now I can no longer unlock it but I really need some of my contacts. I tried connecting it to itunes them transferring them to my computer but when I did that the contacts I were looking for weren't there only some of them transfered. What do I do? If I take it to the verizon store could they get All my contacts? Should I just fix the screen then get them?
