Iphone 5 users/experts please?

I'm far away from US and I don't like online shopping when it comes to having to pay a hefty sum. I have to be there physically to check if the phone's okay. How do I check the authenticity of any Iphone, make sure it is original and US-made?

While at it, how's the battery life of Iphone 5. I think it has only 1450 mA/h but Gsmarena, which is a phone-reviewing site, did a test on battery life of various phones and they found out that Iphone 5 did as good if not better than phones like Samsung S3, Motorola Razr Max and these phones have high numbers, around 3000. How's that work?

Well other than ordering it from a store locally you wouldn't be able to check it the way you'd want.

As far as the battery life, iOS does not use as much battery as the Android phones, so they can put it smaller capacity batteries & yet still get the battery life of ones with bigger ones.
