Why do users of an android have worse quality of posted instagram photos than users of ios?

I have an AndroidOne smartphone and I noticed that having posted a photo it has worse quality than the same photo but of the user of an iphone. Does anyone know why? Ia there any explanation?

There are a lot of different Android phones, and the camera specs can vary a lot. There are several that are as good as or better than iPhones.

Photos are generally about resolution and lens quality. That's hardware rather than software as the issue in this. As a general rule, expensive phones have better hardware than cheaper ones. Most iphones are expensive. Some Android based phones are excellent in photo resolution.

Apparently since Instagram was a thing iPhones are able to upload better quality pictures to it than those running Android. I think it is something to do with the Android side of the app's development but it is what it is.

  • Why does some of the photos that I take with my iPhone 6 so much bigger than the other photos? I didn't change any of the settings in my phone as I have been taking one photo after the other. I don't think it is a burst shot either because I do not hold the capture button for long. So I'm expecting all photos to be relatively the same. Some photos even reached 200MB! I'm puzzled atm…
  • Why does my new computer have a much worse internet connection than old? I just bought a 19.5 HP All in one PC, and the internet connection is very slow. On my old laptop, and iPhone the internet works flawlessly. I have tried scanning for viruses, restarting router, and restarting the computer. Nothing is working. Any ideas?
  • Why does my iPhone receive good quality videos as bad quality videos? So I recently met a famous guy in concert and when I got a picture wth him I was getting a video and my friend used her phone to video it. So she sent it to me and it was like terrible quality and the video was like little with a huge black border around it. But yet it looks perfectly fine on her phone? How do I fix it? Whenever I try to get video editing apps it always says error & only with that particular video. I have an iPhone 5c, and so does my friend.
  • Why do some of my instagram pictures quality get worse after a while? I've noticed a few times that some of my pictures quality on instagram have gotten worse. I take them with an iPhone 4S but then after a while they look like they've been taken with a lower quality camera. I would like to know why this happens and if possible, how could I fix or prevent that from happening?
