IPhone 5s got wet and have no service?

I dropped my iphone 5s in a little bit of water yesterday. It wasn't fully in but about half the phone was. Everything works fine, even wi-fi except my service. My phone says "searching" 90% of the time but I do get service for short spurts. It's obviously not working the way it should be so what to do? I'm guessing its my antenna.

Try to dry out as much as you can. This sometimes takes days to restore all functionality. Moisture causes corrosion on the circuits. Do all you can. The white strip inside will turn blue due to moisture so Apple will not replace. You'll have to pay for a repair if the dry-out doesn't work.

  • My iphone got wet in the rain and now my sound is playing really low and muffled? It was raining and I was out and my iPhone was in my pocket, I don't even know how it got wet or it could of been a puddle that splashed but now when I play music, phone rings or text alert its very quiet and muffled and crackly or sometimes I can hardly hear anything at all.
