Iphone 5s stuck in recovery (from craigs list)?

Bought an iphone 5s from craigslist a few days ago and it is in good condition a few nicks but the thing i can't figure out is that it is stuck in recovery. I just want to be able to use it as my own phone as my iphone 4 is on its last legs but how can i get it out of recovery mode. I've tried everything you can possibly look up on youtube and it won't work. I do the whole home button power button thing until i see the apple logo but it just goes right back into recovery mode… Do i need to take it to an apple store?

Try once again to plug in to iTunes and select your iPhone from above lists. When it opens, there will be a an option which says restore this iPhone and something like that. Click it and it would take you to the rest of setup before finally restoring. Then your iPhone would come out of recovery mode. However, all your data would be lost and it would look like as you just bought it from factory.
NOTE! I tried it on windows.

  • Two songs are stuck on my iPhone as alarm choices. How do I remove/replace them from that list? So I would appear to have a limit of 5 songs to choose from on this list. I see no way to directly delete songs. The list is full and when I add a song the song at the top of the list is bumped off. But that doesn't work for getting the song choice the iPhone already had on there* or the first song I selected for the list off of the list. Why? Can they be removed and if so how? *Apparently my alphabetically first song bought from iTunes
  • Jailbroken iphone stuck in recovery loop? One of my friends at school jailbroke my iphone 3g a long time ago and it was cool until i went to update and restore it. Now its stuck in a endless recovery loop with a screen with a picture of a usb chord below the itunes symbol. I tried going into dfu mode that didn't work. And i'm panicking right now, please help! ps: i'm know nothing about firmware, hardware or advanced stuff like that. So can you tell me how to fix it the easiest way possible.

  • IPhone is stuck in recovery mode? ITunes said I needed to update, so I did. However, halfway through the update, it stopped, and my iphone went into 'recovery mode'. When I tried to reconnect to itunes, it said I had to restore the iphone; I do not want to sacrifice any of the things I have on there:/.
