Iphone 5s subscribed holidays calendar?

I have iphone 5s and recently updated to iso8. In the prior version of iso7, the Subscribed Canadian Holidays Calendar (under the Other in the Calendar) can show the information in the Calendar. After updated to iso8, it doen't work, ie no information shown in Calendar. I know that I can't remove or delete this Subscribed Holidays Calendar. Please advise how to fix so as to show in the Calendar.
Finally, I fixed by the following: setting-general-date&time-turn off, and then turn on. Canadian holiday is now shown in the Calendar.
- Why does iPhone automatically delete calendar events from months ago? And how do I make it stop? I use my iPhone calendar a lot and sometimes I rely on it by scrolling to previous months to see when I went for certain appts but it automatically deletes last events without asking? I know I can make special events like bdays repeat weekly or yearly but some events don't require that function, I just want to know when I went to my appts for example, what day and time it was my dentist appt. Can anyone help?
- What if I wasn't subscribed to Beats Music? I'm not sure if anyone would be able to answer this question, but after the Music app changed on iPhone and stuff, I used to always use Beats Music as a trial and had my own account and playlist, but I wasn't a subscriber. I'm going to pay for Apple Music but I really want my Beats Music playlist to be also be saved? Can anyone tell me if it still will let you?
- Syncing iPhone/Mac calendar? I've already synced the calendar on my mac with my iphone but I was wondering if it already did or if there's any way to where if I were to add something to my calendar on my phone it would sync and automatically add that event to my mac?
- Should I wait to buy the iPhone 8 after the holidays? I have an iPhone 6 and with no contract and I have an amazing deal. I pay $67 for 10gb! I really want to get the iPhone 8 but I don't want to get a new plan because they don't have the one I have anymore ( it was a limited time offer). I have the money for the 8 but I'm not sure if the Apple store in Canada will have have their phones on sale for either Boxing Day or Black Friday. Should I wait after the holidays that way it gives me an idea how much money I'll have?
