Iphone 5S taking long to capture picture?

I just got the iphone 5s a few days ago and I've been noticing that the camera takes way too Long to capture a photo! I love the camera but I hate the long timing. Is there any way to change that?

I'm not sure of the 5s, but, most "point and shoot" cameras have settings that allow you to make them lower resolution, and smaller images. Depending on what you do with them after you take the photo, lowering these will let the camera process the file faster. Unless you hare planning on actually printing the images, a lower resolution, and smaller file size, will not be noticeable.

Well you are using a cellphone, not a dslr camera. 5S is a really good camera but its still not going to be like a professional camera, cellphones never will be unless you are attaching 5 inch lenses to your cellphone.

The reason it takes long is because it takes its time to focus. Before taking the picture, touch the part of the picture that you want in focus and then touch the button to take the picture, the speed should be fast and the picture in focus.
This has been the same method since iphone3g or 4 and is very similar to many other smartphones…

  • What anti theft iPhone app that uses the camera to capture thief? I have an iPhone 5 and I have the "find my iPhone" app on there if it's lost or stolen, however, is there another app (without jailbreaking) that also allows you to take a photo of the thief if they try to use it? I tried using Prey and could not figure out the application at all. Maybe it's just me… Any suggestions?
  • Taking an internet picture on Instagram? How do you take a picture of what you look up on your iPhone and Instagram it? Like, I see people take pictures of their texts, song lyrics, etc. And put them on Instagram.
  • Putting photos from iPhone to MacBook using Image Capture? Newbie question: When I import photos from my iPhone to MacBook using Image Capture, it always seems to copy every photo, rather than just the photos I haven't uploaded yet. So I end up with 5 copies of the same photos after using Image Capture a few times. How can I prevent this? I take so many photos, it would take a really long time to individually tick every photo I wanted to upload every time.
