IPhone 7 not charging following previous toilet plunge and dodgy USB cord- coincidence or water damage?
My apple charger has always been a little dodgy and decides to charge when it wants to (on brand charger that came with my device). I dropped my iPhone 7 plus in the toilet about three days ago. It had, had no side effects, glitches, or any noticeable damage and was charging completely fine. Last night it randomly decided to stop charging. I have tried all of my off brand chargers, although I know that apple is picky with their chargers, and my one on brand charger with no luck. I suppose what I'm asking is, do you think this is just a coincidence and the charger finally gave out? Or is it normal to experience water damage effects several days following the incident.
Water can take many days to dry once it's gotten inside the phone. It could have damaged something, but you also may just need your charging port cleaned. Regardless you will probably have to get a new battery at the very least.
I still have yet to see a phone be submerged and work 100% , I would start looking for a replacement. I got mine from this discount store called Best deal in town check them http://bestdealdenver.com
- My iPhone 4S has got water damage. It no longer powers on throught the USB cable. What do I do? The phone get stuck in an apple logo loop when connected via USB cable. However when it is connected to the speaker dock it powers on. I have lost cellular, Wi-Fi and bluetooth and really need to get my pictures off it. How can I get the phone to power on via USB cable? I need those pics!
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone water damage not charging? My iphone got a little water in it nothing bad happened it still worked just was acting funny so i put it in a bag of rice and it was all okay. Then when I tried to charge it when i got home it wouldn't charge. I had used all of my battery today and so when i tried to plug it in to the charger it just stayed red and it says its charging but it has been saying that for awhile and it won't turn on. - Iphone cord not charging, cord not ripped? Me and my sister have ipod 5's and we got a new charging cord 2 weeks ago and when i went to charge it today, it wouldn't charge, not on the wall adapter or in a usb port, already tried blowing into both ports, and wiping them off. Any help? Also this is like the 4th charger i've had since christmas and they all seem to break, any help with that? Best answer gets 10 points.
