IPhone activation failed using straight talk SIM?

I got an iPhone 3, used.

I have a straight talk phone, with a SIM

The iPhone I got was unlocked from AT&T.

I put the SIM in and nothing happens.

I go to iTunes and it says activation is failed.

Sounds like the phone was reported lost or stolen

these get put on an international blacklist, and its illegal for ANY wireless company to activate them on their network.

The iPhone probably has a bad MEID/ESN number. This can be solved. They can clear up your bad ESN if that's the case online. I checked the other time on eBay. Good luck. And also you might have to flash the iPhone I don't think you can just put the sim card and expect it to work.

I'm sorry to tell you this but someone must have sold you a bad phone. Talk to ATT about it and maybe they will let you get another one for free.

I put my sim card in it thinking that would be all i had to do but it won't work. I can text on it but when i try to use the internet it says it isn't connected to the internet. Do i have to buy a brand new sim card and activate it then? Also i can't get hardly any service, one bar at the most when i would normally have full service. Ugh help!
