IPhone activation for iPhone 4s?
I just received an iPhone 4S from my family and a have an iPhone 4 I want to switch them. How do I go about that I activated it myself but you can't make calls on it. Also my iphone has no SIM card.
Take it to the carrier that you have and they can activate it for you
The iPhone 4S is still the best iPhone deal out there.
It does EVERYTHING an iPhone 5 does, at a fraction of the cost.
Check with your carrier, read them the MEID or the IMEI numbers to make sure it's free and clear for activation. If someone has a past due account or if the phone was reported as lost or stolen, then it can't be activated. DO THIS even if you know the person you got the 4S from. If you can't turn on the phone, the number is etched onto the SIM card tray.
Since you don't have a SIM card, you can't activate it until you do.
Go to your carrier's store and let them know what you have and that you need a SIM.
You'll have to buy the SIM, but afterward the SIM is yours to keep.
Install it and have the technician transfer all the information from your 4 to the 4S.
That way you'll not lose your contact emails and phone numbers.
Activate the new phone, deactivate the old one - there should be no charge for this.
- Why does my iphone randomly say activation required? So the other day I was just using my iPhone 4 running IOS 6 beta and I had shut down my iPhone completely for about 2 hours and then when i turned it back on, it said "activation required and it wants me to connect to Wi-Fi to connect to apples activation servers. It will not let me get to my home screen and everytime I try to activate it it tells me to try again later. BTW, it also says no service at the top of my iPhone. And this has also happened to my iPad.

I jail broke to use the iPhone as an iPod & i can't restore all of my music/apps/photos to it because iTunes still says " there's no sim card in the phone you are attempting to activate" how can i get itunes to recognize the phone as 'activated'? - Thanks in advance
- IPhone update/activation The last time I updated my phone, it was to 4.2? And I just got the latest update. Unfortunately, iTunes won't "finish" the update. By that I mean the update is finished, but when I go to activate my phone again, it says the session has timed out. I've tried rebooting iTunes, my iPhone, my computer, I reinstalled iTunes, but it still says the session has timed out. Any ideas?
- Iphone says your iphone can't be activated bc the activation server is temporarily unavailable? I called the carrier i have and they said to reset my phone so i did it still just says this i can't even use my phone what do i do
