IPhone charger/connector plug not working with macbook air?

Added (1). I can connect it to the computer, but my phone just vibrates on and off continuously, which means it's disconnecting and connecting every half-second. It's a refurbished macbook that I just bought a few weeks ago. Cord works fine on my other computer (a Dell) and works fine when plugged into the wall.
I do have Applecare, should I call them?

Test with other plug. If not work, you just need to buy another one. So simple

  • Should I buy the iPhone 5 or Macbook Air? So I'm saving to get one of them but I'm not sure which one! I already have a phone but it's the Nokia C3-00 so it's quite old and I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't have my own laptop but I share one with my mum and I can use it after school only and I can't take it to school because she uses it for work. (The laptop is an HP laptop not an Apple product.) I also have an iPad Mini.

  • Is the $999 2012 11 Macbook Air good enough for iphone game/app development? I want to make games and apps for iphone and ipod touch so bad but not sure if the specs of the 11" 2012 mba are good enough seeing that the processor is at 1.7 ghz. I plan on upgrading the ram when i buy it to 8gb. Will this mac be good enough to develop games and app for iphone and ipod touch smoothly?
  • Is my iPhone 4 battery dieing? Charging is not compatible even with a plug charger? When I try and charge my iPhone 4 it says that 'charging is not compatible with this device' even when I use a normal plug charger. The charge icon comes on for a few seconds then just as it goes up a battery percentage it comes up with the error message.
