IPhone dropped in water for second time
I feel so dumb lol but I was kinda messing around on it before turning it off (I know I shouldnt have) and it had the screen w the lines so I was wondering if putting it in rice will still help? I haven't plugged it in or anything
Let it dry
Don't drop it the third time.
Rice does nothing but ruin good rice.
Remove the SIM tray and thoroughly shake your phone to remove as much water as possible. Then use a vacuum cleaner nozzle, cupping your hands to provide a seal around the phone, to suck at every single opening on the phone. All that needs to be done pretty well immediately after immersion if it has a chance of working as if the water soaks into some parts they change permanently and the residues left by water left to dry naturally are often corrosive and electrically conductive and those deposits keep becoming more chemically active every time they absorb moisture from the air.
But realistically don't expect much. And if the phone does recover don't expect it to last long as corrosion will considerably shorten the remaining lifespan of your phone.
- IPhone in water for a second? It fell in toilet for about a second before I got it out. It had a case on I dried it checked it was working, it was working fine. I have completely turned it off now tho. Will it be alright?
- I updated ifunny and every time I open the app it closes in about a second? Once and I while the option to send an error report comes up and nothing happens when I click it the tab just stays up. I have the app for the iPhone 4S if that helps
- Keep dropping my iphone in water for just a second? I like to listen to my phone in the bath but sometimes it gets knocked in for a second can it damage it badly because a always wipe it off straight away i've dropped it in twice so far and the only thing thats happened is the speaker stops working for a couple of hours
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
