IPhone has no SIM card but new/used phone has a slot for one.what do I do?

This is through verizon wireless iPhone 4 to Nokia 822

So my Iphone 4 broke on a jobsite so I took the cheap way out and bought a Nokia 822 after reading some good reviews on it. After I purchased it online I got excited and watched some videos on it and one video mentioned a SIM card slot which my Iphone 4 (through verizon) does not have.

So once I get this phone will I be able to activate it without a preexisting SIM or am I out of luck?
Or maybe another option?

Added (1). This is a Verizon iPhone 4 and it does NOT have a SIM card like verizons opponents iPhones… I should have been more clear. (and yes i checked the side)

I think i will ask for a new SIM card and hopefully that will work being away from home its a weird situation

The store can give you a new SIM card, and it'll work just fine.

You have to get an adapter to use the mini sim from iPhone to for in normal aim slot in other phone, So call your service provider and often they'll send you one for free, or if not you'll have to buy one for about $1 from eBay.

iPhones do have a SIM card… But perhaps not a slot for it. Take your new NOKIA 822 and the iPhone to Verizon and request them for help. Perhaps you will need a totally new SIM Card as Apple SIMS are not compatible with other phones.

Yes iphone 4 DOES actually have a sim card slot. It's on the side, there's a little hole poke it gently with a pen tip or pin. It should pop out.

If your iphone 4 uses a micro sim and the nokia doesn't, there's an attachment you can get to make it bigger. If not, just tell Verizon to switch your number into a new sim card that fits the Nokia. Then you can activate once the SIM is in

Only the GSM versions have SIM chips, your Verizon iPhone 4 was not a GSM phone, indeed Verizon is not a GSM cell phone company, AT&T and Tmobile are the GSM providers in the States.
