IPhone is infected with several viruses?
Hi. My iPhone is infected with 4 viruses, which I was just warned a few minutes ago? Something popped up and they wanted me to download an app which I have no more space for. It's pretty hard to clear out my phone right now without my mac which won't be avilable to me for about a month. It said it was visiting captain sites an i'm like wtf? I don't want to take it to the app store or the Verizon store because I don't want ppl going through my phone and it's history, I like my privacy and it very special to me ( especially for me being a teenage girl ) and yes I know, it's better to get rid of my 4 viruses then for it to get worse. Is there anyway I can get rid of it on my own? Without downloading any apps and for free?
Its fake… No popup will ever tell you "you have viruses"
just restart the phone and you will be good
It's a scam. Don't download anything.
Hmm… You could go into settings and reset settings and delete EVERYTHING on the phone. (basically reformatt) that should take care of the virus problem for you but you will lose everything such as picture, history, apps, etc. It must suck but its either that or take it to the verizon store.
If the pop up told you, your phone had viruses, what would have kept it from downloading all your private things? Nothing if it was possible for a random site to see you had viruses. So right now all your private nasty pictures have been exposed to the world. Just make sure you don't fall for any scams in the future, don't download anything a pop up tells you to download.
First off, that message was likely just a scare tactic & so anything it said should be disregarded. IOS doesn't get viruses.
Just the fact it said something nonsensical like"captain sites" points to that.
Oh & its the Apple Store not the App Store. Two different things there.
If the phone is running as normal, then leave it at that, but if you want some sort of work for it, you could try restoring it through iTunes & restoring from a backup of the phone as it is now.
- Will other computer be infected by virus through my iPhone 4 and iCloud? My old laptop (windows) have some virus, but I already delete it. And I reformat my laptop, and I have iTunes and connected to my iPhone 4. So if I buy a new laptop wether it is Mac or windows Will it be infected to a virus?
- Will 'Buy it now' items be on ebay for several years/months? I found a trusted seller on ebay and I was hoping to order from them on April… But will the item still be there? I tried to contract them but I can't, I just wanted to know if it'll be there for April What do you think? - My iphone was fully submerged in a pool for several minutes? I'm trying the rice method which I have read about with mixed results, but I assume it is going to be a complete loss. I have read something about an out of warranty replacement. It is a 4s and bought less than a year ago. Does anyone have experience with this?
- My iPhone sometimes requires several presses of the home button. Is this normal? It takes like 6 presses of the home button to wake it up, but this is only occasionally. BTW, this is a refurbished iPhone
