Iphone message: could not activate cellular data network?
Every time i go to send a text with my iphon3 3g a litte bubble pops up and sais "can't connect to cellular data network… I know that i do not have a data plan… It did not do this before but i lent it to my girlfriend for a day and god knows what she did to it… I turned off all of the data settings and even reset all of the network settings… I can still call and text just fine it is just annoying that it pops up every time i open up sms
also i do not have any kind of an internet plan and i do use Wi-Fi but i'm not connected atm. I'm at sschool and it does this all the time even when i'm connected to Wi-Fi it still pops up as soon as i open up my texts…
Its having a hard time picking up the cell tower in that area, the school walls are probably thick so that doesn't help. Its an old Iphone and there's a 4g network now. Also the network settings may have to be reset by your provider. Man it could be anything at this point. Iphone sucks and thats the biggest problem, go android. Ill never get another iphone.
- Why doesn't my iPhone 3GS connect to the cellular data network? I just bought a refurbished iPhone 3GS from Gamestop a few weeks ago and have just started using it recently. I can make/ receive calls and texts with no problem, but for some reason my phone will not connect to the 3G network. I have 3G turned on and the symbol shows up in the top corner of my phone, as if it were working normally. I tried updating my phone, but there was no difference.
- When you have Wi-Fi and cellular data on at the same time, does it use cellular data? If I keep my cellular data on and also have my iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, will it use any of my cellular data?
- What is cellular network data? I just got an iPhone through Verizon and when I go into usage there's a thing that says cellular network data and it just keeps going up and up but I don't understand why. I don't use Internet outside of Wi-Fi ever. I don't even know what cellular network data is. Someone explain?
- IPhone 6 issue Could not activate cellular data network? I have a new iPhone 6, coming from an iPhone 4s. I have AT&T btw. In the top left it shows i have bars, and then the LTE or 4G symbol shows up, but when I try to use safari or anything web-based it says I'm not subscribed to a cellular data service, or "could not activate cellular data network". It works fine on Wi-Fi, but why won't it work on LTE or 4G.
