IPhone passcode time?
I'm a cell phone dinosaur who just recently got his first smart phone. I have a hand-me-down old iphone 5 I think. I'm getting frustrated always having to put in my pass word so often when I use it. I understand and appreciate the purpose of it, but wish I could extend the time it remains idle before it requires me to punch it in again. Is this possible, and if so how?
Go to the Settings app, then Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode). There should be an option there that specifies how long to wait before wanting the passcode again.
Go into settings
Tap display & brightness
Tap auto lock
Tap 5 minutes if you want to have it auto lock Funticon active, or NEVER if you want to Have that function off
You can mnually lock the device by pressing the power button on the right side of the device.
All iPhones released from the 5s on, with the exception of the 5C and X have fingerprint ID. Using this function if available over rides the need to manually input your passcode when unlocking the phone, except for when turning it on.
- My iPhone restrictions passcode was locked for a very long time? It says "20 failed passcode attempts" and "Try again in 5.839,495 minutes" Help HOW DO I GET AROUND THIS *5,839,495 not 5.8 minutes also it won't let me erase all from the phone because it says I need to input the restrictions password, so I honestly don't know what to do
- Is there anyway I can bypass my passcode on my iPhone 4 or it's a 5 I'm not sure but I can't remember the passcode but I need it I know you can restore but I don't want to do that because I don't think I have the computer I backed it up to back then. And i don't know what update this is. Like I haven't see the emergency button there at all in any videos
- Iphone asking me for a passcode to install update. I never set up a passcode. Options? I just tried to update my iphone to 7.1.1 and i'm being asked for a passcode. I never set one up, but entered what I would have made it, and now have a message saying "FAILED. One more attempt". What happens if I get this final attempt wrong? How do I continue with update if I can't remember this passcode?
- How to advance time on my phone to advance time in an app for iPhone 5? Some games on iPhone 5 have time restrctions, where you can only use so many lives within a certain time frame. Is there a way to change the time on the phone to "advance" the time in the app? If so, how can that work? I tried to change the date and time manually and reopen the app, but nothing changes.
