IPhone phone service for Straight Talk? BYOP?
So straight talk has a Bring Your Own Phone program where all you need to buy is a SIM card.
My iPhone 5 Isn't unlocked and I got it on Red Pocket mobile account (www.goredpocket.com) and it's been working. And it is sort of like Straight Talk. Can I switch from red pocket to Straight Talk. Does my phone need to be unlocked for the sim from straight talk to work? Or will it work?
Run the IMEI number through their websites phone checker. It's located on their website and it will tell you if it will work or not. The imei is located in Settings - general - about. Otherwise the phone has to be unlocked
- Will a Verizon iPhone work on Tracfone BYOP? I'm going to buy an iPhone 4S, and I'm not sure whether I should buy an Unlocked or Verizon phone. Which one should I buy?
- Will a Verizon iPhone 5 have LTE service if used on Straight Talk? Just a quick question for iPhone experts. I recently decided I want an iPhone 5 and have a friend who raves about his s3 on Straight Talk. I have the opportunity to buy a Verizon iPhone 5 from a friend for cheap, but i'd like to know if I will receive LTE service when using it on Straight Talk. If not, I will just go with a Straight Talk iPhone from their website.
- Is straight talk service good? With an iPhone? I've heard great stuff about straight talk but prepaid plans tend to be bad service wise. I really want to use an iPhone with them but I need to know what all I'm getting before making that investment. I live in Birmingham, AL if anyone has ST here. I heard they use AT&T towers but just need to know what all this is. Let me know what you know!
- Is straight talk overall a good service for iphone 5? I've been wanting to buy an iphone 5 in straight talk, because everything is unlimited and its affordable. But before making a mistake i wanted to make sure if it has good coverage, reception, etc. Is it unlimited on memory. All that good stuff. I heard they kick you out if you go over 2MB. Something like that. I usually don't travel much and it says it only works in your zip code area. I'm always here so that's pretty good. Just wondering about everything basically.
