Will a Verizon iPhone work on Tracfone BYOP?

I'm going to buy an iPhone 4S, and I'm not sure whether I should buy an Unlocked or Verizon phone.
Which one should I buy?

  • IPhone phone service for Straight Talk? BYOP? So straight talk has a Bring Your Own Phone program where all you need to buy is a SIM card. My iPhone 5 Isn't unlocked and I got it on Red Pocket mobile account (www.goredpocket.com) and it's been working. And it is sort of like Straight Talk. Can I switch from red pocket to Straight Talk. Does my phone need to be unlocked for the sim from straight talk to work? Or will it work?
