IPhone plugged in All the time - fire hazard?
I was thinking of having my iPhone 4 plugged in All the time, since I have found a purpose for it (it is an old device i no longer use). Would this be a fire hazard? For what it's worth i'd be using a new, and genuine (from apple) charger. The phone itself has a shattered screen - although i don't think this would affect much. The phone still functions okay except for the broken glass.
ALSO, what do you think of using an outlet timer? I could have the timer provide electricity to the iPhone for 10-12 hours a day, and then I could have the phone run on the battery for the remainder of the day.
The reason I'm asking is because I need the phone to be always-on.
No its not a fire hazard. I leave my iphone 4s plugged in all the time. You shouldn't be worried unless you have a lot of things plugged in on an extension cable or something.
The only worry is, like micheal said, an extension cord.
- Will my iphone loose all it's music if plugged into a new computer? My brother gave me his iphone, but i'm afraid to plug it into my computer because i did this with an ipod and all the stuff got erased. I really don't want to loose all his music. Is there a way to get around that?
