Will my iphone loose all it's music if plugged into a new computer?

My brother gave me his iphone, but i'm afraid to plug it into my computer because i did this with an ipod and all the stuff got erased. I really don't want to loose all his music. Is there a way to get around that?

Plug it in. As soon as it starts to Sync with iTunes, click the little X beside the progress bar at the top.

Then go to
(Device name) > Music > Uncheck 'Sync Music'

Should work. Believe me, since I jailbreak other peoples iDevices, this should work.

Everytime I try to drag my music into the iphone place like I used to it just won't let me. What do I do?
  • Why won't my new computer recognize that my iPhone is plugged in? I recently got a new computer, but all of my information for my iPhone is on my old computer. When I plug up my iPhone to my computer, it doesn't register that it is plugged in. Nothing is wrong with my charger and nothing is wrong with my computer. I don't know what to do to get my information from my iPhone onto my new computer and to my iTunes.
