Iphone problem, high contrast and brightness low, why?

I was playing a game on it. The phone got discharged. I charged it. Switched it on unlovked it and i found that the brightness of. The screen is so low and high contrast display. I bought my iphone5 recently. I never dropped the phone or mishandled it. There's no pixel bleeding or cracks. I updated ios but it didn't get fixed. I need help coz i live in a country where there's no official iphone care centre, i will have to use mail to send it to apple for repairs.

I'm not an expert but check the Brightness settings under the settings option. IOS might be smart enough to lower the brightness when you are running our of battery.

If it is low; change it to what you like and see if it improves the brightness.

It is a defective piece. If you bought it from a reseller then return it to them and ask for cash return. If you bought it from official apple website then mail apple about this problem, send them screen shots of the defective iphone. They will send u details as to how to ship back the iphone for repairing(they would rather give you a new piece for no additional cost) be sure to send the way you got it (packed with all accesories and warranty card).It might be possible that due to lot of usage the screen turned dull( you said u play games?) screen might have got damaged(this is an uncommon case). Apple will either replace the screen or give you a new model.
