Iphone problem: it's showing a different Apple ID? - 1

I've had my iphone 4 for a couple months now and I haven't had any problems until a few days ago. The problem is, every time it tells me to sign in with my Apple ID, for some odd reason it lists someone else's email address instead of mines and it only lets me type in a password, but it doesn't let me type anything into the email address part. Obviously I don't know what the password to this random account is and it won't let me log in with another account name. How do I login with my account name? I have never let anyone use my iphone before and the email looks completely unfamiliar so I have no idea how this problem even started. Any advice?

You could try to go to the app store -> featured page and go to the very bottom of the page. There should be a button that says "sign out". Then you can sign in with your account. That should solve your problem. If it doesn't, try syncing your phone to your computer and restoring the phone.

  • Why is a different device showing up as my icloud backup? My apple ID is used for my iphone, ipad, and my friends iPhone. Usually the bottom icloud thing says "Danielle's iPad" but today I noticed it says my friends iphone. Why is it showing this and what does it mean? I don't want my friends stuff syncing to my devices and vice versa.
  • Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
  • Songs showing up for different artists? My songs on my iPhone are showing up for different artists. For example, I will click on a song by Phish and that song will show up for every other artist. It's kinda hard to explain.
  • Is there a problem with texting someone in a different country? So this person and I are both from the US and have American phone numbers. We both have iPhones so it's iMessage. This person is currently in another country on vacation. We're texting now, but I'm worried if any charges will occur
