IPhone problems with the Wi-Fi?

Alright, my iPhone 4S is being retarded. The Wi-Fi wouldn't even show my Wi-Fi thing! Then I turned my phone off then back on and then it was gray? And I couldn't even turn it on. So I looked online an they said to reset the network settings. Which I have done. And it still isn't working! I even tried to type everything in on my own and it said "could not scan for wireless network" and it's not gray anymore. It just won't search for anything! I went to my general<about
And my Wi-Fi address isn't empty but earlier it did say N/A. What do I do?

Well first, it might not be your phone, it might be the modem itself, first restart the modem, and see if that works. If your software isn't up to date on your phone, that might also be a problem. First update everything, and if it already is, then maybe try restoring your phone, but be careful and back it up first. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you. Hope this helps!
