Iphone safari stuck in desktop mode on youtube?
I usually prefer to watch youtube in the mobile site on safari, because I find the app to be extremely slow. One time I accidentally loaded in in the desktop mode, and now its stuck on it. I tried everything. I exited out, I quit safari multiple times, I disconnected and reconnected to the internet, and powered off my iphone. The site has an option at the bottom of the screen that says "mobile version." When I click on it, it acts like its going to the mobile site, but only reloads the page in desktop view. When I try to watch a video it says "you are not authorized to play videos on this device," because it has to be in the mobile version of the site to play videos on a mobile phone. Its been like this for days. I'm getting seriously frustrated, does anyone have any advice?
I'm having the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3. I pressed desktop mode in YouTube and now I can't revert.
I accidently pressed desktop too! Now i'm stuck!
I just recently had this problem. & was determined to fix it.
- Settings.
- Safari.
- Advanced.
- Website Data.
- Remove all Website Data.
& it should return to the mobile site. Hope this helps.
- Youtube on my iPhone turns on to desktop version by itself? Just very resently, everytime I would go on youtube using safari on my iphone, it turns to desktop every time. I tried typing in "m" for mobile version instead of "www", then it would load, but then turn to desktop whenever I search for something to watch. It's started to get on my nerves (I'm a very impatient person). Did this happen to anyone? Is there a way to fix this?
- YouTube on iPhone Safari not working? Here's the issue: any youtube video I play on safari, about a minute or 2 through the video, it's still playing but no audio comes out.
- Safari won't allow me to play youtube video in background or when phone is locked? I used to be able to. When I try playing the video after going to home screen (I have an iphone) and press play, it just plays music from apple music. Is there any way I can play youtube videos in background or when phone js locked? I would appreciate it. I can't find anything online where someone has the same problem:/
- Safari on iphone keeps pushing desktop instead of mobile sites? My iPhone (safari) keeps redirecting me to the desktop version of youtube instead kf the mobile version. It's really annoying, please help. Also, i would just like to add, i know that there's a "mobile version" link in the bottom corner, but when i go to my bookmark, it goes straight back to the desktop version.
