IPhone screen barely responsive

Today while on a walk with my friend, I had my phone in my hand. I was holding it for a little while and then when I looked at it I realized a little bit of sweat had built up on the screen from me holding it while being outside. I didn't think it was a big deal, but then about 5-10 minutes later my phone froze. My iPhone screen is cracked, not terribly but its definitely noticeable. I was wondering if this could have caused my phone to freeze. Then, it froze so I turned it off, & it wouldn't start back on. I put it in a bag of rice for a few hours. I turned the phone back on, and the screen is now somewhat responsive, but barely enough for me to function on it. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice, and also do you think a little bit of the sweat getting in the ccracks of my screen could have caused this?

Most likely the sweat going though the cracks of the screen caused this. The screen is protected with glass for a reason and the chemicals in the sweat must have messed up the screen. It is never a good idea to leave a phone without the protected glass in your hand for a while especially on hot days.

Looks like you need a new iphone. Sorry
