IPhone Screen not responding properly. Setting error?

I'm not sure what I've pressed but I think it's something to do with the settings. I literally got this phone the other day so I'd hope it's not broken.

So what happens is when i press anything on the screen that object is highlighted with a white outlines box but what I want to use is not pressed. I can't use the phone for anything at the moment because this keeps happening. It doesn't respond to all of my touches well at all and when I do it only outlines the icon as I said.

There's also the computer speaking in a male siri like voice, whenever I press a button (which is never pressed, only highlighted) for example If i hit slide to unlock it will say "Slide to unlock" in the robot voice, or if I hit 6 it will say "Six". Not sure if this is related or something I configured while trying to solve the issue in a panic.

But yeah Please help me out if you have any suggestions, It was working fine then suddenly this just started happening and it is a huge frustration as I just got this and I can't use my phone!

Have you try to do a restore in iTunes

You've basically enabled one of those Accessibility functions. It simply requires you to double press to do anything. You have to disable it through Settings>General>Accessibility (not sure which one but none of them should be enabled, if you see one enabled, disable it).

Okay I think I gave done this before, did click some thing that has do with like accessibility for "special needs" (I hope I didn't offend any one. Or something like that
Some of the things you could try is holding down the off and the home button which is the force turn off
Another thing you could do is taking it to the Apple it ATT or what ever retailer you bought it from
What I did to get the setting off if you are experiencing the same thing go to settings and try to trace your steps to go back to what you click
I think you have to double click whatever you want to choose but it was something similar to what I did

You accidentally activated VoiceOver.

Unlock you iPhone first. (If you have a passcode then double tap each number. So if your passcode is 1234, double tap 1, then 2, then 3, then 4).

Select Settings so that it is highlighted then double tap it.

From Settings tap General (so that it is highlighted) then double tap it.

SINGLE tap About (so that the highlighted box isn't around the small Settings back button in the top left corner. We don't want to open About)

Then use three fingers to drag the screen down. (If you use 1 or 2 fingers it won't work. You have to use 3).

Then double tap Accessibility (should be the second to last option, below International and above Reset)

Single tap VoiceOver (so that it becomes highlighted instead of the small General back button), then double tap it.

Single tap the VoiceOver box (so that the Accessibility back button in the top left corner isn't highlighted) you'll then hear "VoiceOver on". Double click the "On" button to turn it off. You'll then hear "VoiceOver off"
