IPhone settings Wi-Fi greyed out?
I noticed a few hours ago my phone wasn't connected to the Internet and was using 4G even while I was at home. I went to the pull up menu on my iPhone 4S and it said I had the Wi-Fi setting turned on but still nothing. So I went to the settings menu and no networks were listed. I reset my phone and then instead of no networks being listed, the entire option of turning on Wi-Fi was greyed out. The button won't move if I press it and whenever I try to turn on the Wi-Fi from the pull up menu, it says it's on but I'm still using 4G.
Back up the phone first.
Then, turn the phone off. With the phone off, hold the home button (only the home button) and plug it into iTunes. You'll see a data cable symbol on the screen of the phone, and the computer will tell you that it's recognized a phone on recovery mode. Proceed to restore the phone. One that's done, restore your previous backup and you should be good. If not, make an appointment at your local genius bar.
- Why are my songs greyed out on my iPhone 4s? I have an iPhone 4s and I had it plugged into my computer I have songs I don't listen to so I deleted them all. - My iphone 4s has a greyed out no wi-fi? I own an updated iOS 5.1.1 iPhone 4s. Just yesterday it wouldn't connect to my friend's Wi-Fi. Now it won't connect to any Wi-Fi and just says "No Wi-Fi" and also won't let me click on it at all. I've tried resetting my network settings, resetting all of my settings, and even resetting with the home button and hold button.
- IPhone 4S Wi-Fi greyed out So about a week ago I dropped my iPhone in water and it wouldn't work then I put it in rice over night and it was fine. The only thing is where you turn the Wi-Fi on its greyed out. I can't connect it to iTunes to update it as I don't have a computer what are some other ways I can fix this problem with my Wi-Fi as I don't really wanna pay $200 for an ensurance claim to get a new one.
