Iphone sound not working. 4S. Stuck in dock mode?

Recently, my iphone 4S had not been producing volume except for ringing when I get a phone call. Music won't play and the volume bar disappears. Sometimes it works for a few seconds or minutes when my headphones are plugged in, but then the volume bar disappears again. It's not stuck in headphone mode. If anything it has to do with the dock connector or something. I don't know. Is it water damage? What can I do?

I don't know why it would be stuck in the headphone mode, but also that is odd that the volume bar disappears. Have you tried re-setting your ipod? Steps:

Open Settings > General > Reset (at the bottom of the screen) > Reset All

This will not delete any media, songs, apps, videos, photos! Might help/fix it!

  • My iPhone 3G is stuck on the dock reset screen/loading circle stuck? For some reason my iPhone 3G is stuck on the dock home screen, like this: and it has that tiny loading logo, like this: that is stuck in the middle. I can't reset because my power button no longer works so I only use the home button to turn it on and since it is jailbroken i slide the top bar, press power, the lock, so i have no use of my power button. The loading circle is still spinning and its been doing this for about an hour >:( Help?

  • Jailbroken iphone stuck in recovery mode/power button does not work? Okay, so my iphone was jailbroken & I had a lot of data on it so I chose to erase all content… It has been stuck on the loading spinny screen for two hours now. My top corner power button will NOT work as in it is broken. Is there any way I can force my phone into recovery mode without this power button working?
